Â鶹´«Ã½’s Middle School includes Fifth through Eighth Grade. Though we do accept applications for all grades up to and including Seventh Grade, the number of spaces available in all Middle School grades varies from year to year. All successful candidates should begin the process with strong academic records and/or test scores.

Once you have filled out our through Veracross, you will be able to register for informational events. Be sure to fill out our using an email address you will have access to throughout the admissions season, as this will be your primary email contact with our school.
We believe that witnessing our school in action is the only way to start to understand the phenomenal experience that our students have each and every day. We encourage students applying for Grades 5-7 to join their parents on the tour.
Our Meet & Learn evening gives parents a chance to hear directly from educators across divisions and to discover how our program nurtures intellectual curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning at every stage. The evening will end with a brief School Tour.
Fireside Chats are a collection of dynamic, insightful conversations designed to give prospective families a closer look at what makes Â鶹´«Ã½ unique. Hear directly from our alumni in the Â鶹´«Ã½ Alumni Panel, explore the benefits of our K-8 model in “Why K-8?”, and gain expert insight into gifted education in “Is My Child Gifted?”.

The Parent Perspective is a series of questions meant to guide parents through a thoughtful portrait of their child.
Parent Conversations provide an opportunity for an applicant child’s parents to speak with a member of our Admissions team about their child and educational expectations. These virtual conversations are scheduled for 30 minutes on a day separate from your child’s visit.
Applicants to Grades 5–7 are required to participate in a student visit. During this visit, each student will be given an opportunity to spend time in classes with peers, followed by a Math and Literacy assessment and a short group interview. This is a drop-off visit.
Teacher Recommendation forms must be delegated to your child’s primary teacher through your application portal. Once we have received the confidential recommendation directly from the teacher, this step will be marked as complete. The deadline for submitting the Teacher Recommendation is January 8, 2027.
For applicants to Grades 5–7, we require either the ISEE or SSAT, as long as the testing took place no more than 12 months prior to your application date to Â鶹´«Ã½. Please designate Â鶹´«Ã½ as a recipient for either the SSAT (recipient code: 7443) or ISEE (recipient code: 336649) scores. Do not upload testing scores directly. We will upload scores once received and mark this checklist item as completed. Please give us time for processing.
We require the most recent report card from your child’s current school.
We welcome additional relevant information that may help us more fully understand your child’s academic capacity. We are also happy to review any additional accomplishments or things you’d like us to know about your child.
The application deadline for regular admissions is 12 noon on December 4, 2026; all supplemental documents must be received by 12 noon on January 8, 2027.
Â鶹´«Ã½ School welcomes international students interested in our Middle School program for Grades 5–7. To be considered for admission, families should follow the application process for Middle School, submit TOEFL scores to demonstrate English proficiency, and adhere to all submission deadlines.
Once a student is accepted and enrolled, Â鶹´«Ã½ School will issue Form I-20 for the student’s program of study. The student will use Form I-20 to apply for an F-1 student visa.
Please note: Â鶹´«Ã½ does not offer housing. Students must arrange for a host family through an agency, or reside with relatives in the NYC area.
