Questions Â鶹´«Ã½ Giving

A few of the questions we hear most often. Remember, when you invest in bright minds, anything is possible!

The Â鶹´«Ã½ Annual Fund
The Annual Fund is the foundation of all fundraising at Â鶹´«Ã½. Directly supporting the day-to-day needs that fulfill our mission, the Annual Fund’s flexible, unrestricted dollars are put straight to use to support and serve our students. When you make a gift to the Annual Fund, you support every moment of every day at Â鶹´«Ã½.

The Gala
Each spring, we host our biggest fundraising event of the year! The Gala raises funds for Â鶹´«Ã½’s general operating expenses in addition to specific initiatives to enhance our already thriving school. Join us for a night of great fun and community while we raise funds for Â鶹´«Ã½!

The Sophie Krupp Chess Fund
This fund is established in honor of Sophie Krupp ‘24 and her passion for the game of Chess, and the community surrounding it. It supports the many costs associated with our Chess program and hopes more girls are encouraged to explore the game of Chess without financial constraint. Through this fund, the essence of Sophie lives on and continues her indelible impact on others at Â鶹´«Ã½.

Endowment
Join us in strengthening the future of Â鶹´«Ã½ and our extraordinary students. Contact Director of Institutional Advancement James Cappabianca to learn more.

As with all independent schools, tuition revenue alone does not cover the full cost of a Â鶹´«Ã½ education. The Annual Fund helps to bridge the budget gap and provides critical resources to support Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s operating budget and expenses. Your generosity sustains Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s firm financial health and allows the school to respond to pressing priorities.

The Annual Fund supports all aspects of life at Â鶹´«Ã½: our interdisciplinary curriculum, professional development for faculty and staff, facility maintenance, small student to teacher ratio, and financial aid. We rely on your generosity to meet our mission.  .

Every member of our community is asked to give: current and alumni parents, grandparents, faculty and staff, alumni, the Board of Trustees, and friends of Â鶹´«Ã½.

Each year, our goal is for 100% of current parents to make a gift, of any amount, to the annual fund. Participation in the Annual Fund demonstrates to others that we collectively support Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s mission and goals. The generosity from all is greatly appreciated and critical for our success.

Every gift, no matter the amount, is greatly appreciated. We ask those in the position to make Â鶹´«Ã½ a philanthropic priority to consider a leadership gift to the Annual Fund.

I knew my child was going to learn and leave smarter, but I didn’t know how kind they’d become. Â鶹´«Ã½ made my daughter a better human and for that I am forever grateful. Any school can make a kid smart, but how many can make them a better citizen?

Â鶹´«Ã½ Alumni Parent

Â鶹´«Ã½ is a unique institution and is the best in the field — it fills a void in the NYC education system extremely well.

Â鶹´«Ã½ Parent

It’s hard to quantify, but you can see the change in how they think, how they carry themselves.
